This Cookie Notice explains how Ustyle SRL ("Ustyle", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on the website https://ustyle.it and on the Ustyle merchant dashboard (the "Website"). It supplements our Privacy Policy and is provided in accordance with Article 122 of the Italian Personal Data Protection Code, the ePrivacy Directive, and the Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools of the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) of June 10, 2021.

This notice does not cover the cookie that the Ustyle widget sets on merchants' online stores. That cookie is set on the merchant's domain, under the merchant's cookie banner, and is described in Section 4.4 of our Privacy Policy and in the merchant's own cookie policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. They allow the website to recognize your device, remember your choices, and collect information about how the site is used. Similar technologies, such as local storage entries, pixels, and scripts, work in comparable ways, and this notice refers to all of them as "cookies".

Cookies can be first-party (set by ustyle.it) or third-party (set by another domain through our pages). They can be session cookies, deleted when you close the browser, or persistent cookies, which remain for a set period.

2. How we use cookies

We use three categories of cookies. Only the first category is set without your consent.

2.1 Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are needed for the Website to work and to remember your cookie choices. They do not require consent under Article 122 of the Italian Personal Data Protection Code and cannot be switched off.

Cookie consent preference

Provider: ustyle.it (first party)

Purpose: stores the choices you made in the cookie banner so that we do not ask again

Duration: 6 months.

Dashboard session

Name: session

Provider: ustyle.it (first party)

Purpose: keeps you logged in to the merchant dashboard and protects your session against request forgery

Duration: session (deleted when you close the browser).

Security and load balancing

Name: __cf_bm, cf_clearance

Provider: Cloudflare, Inc. (third party, acting as our processor)

Purpose: distinguishes human visitors from automated traffic and protects the Website against attacks

Duration: up to 30 minutes for __cf_bm; up to 1 year for cf_clearance.

2.2 Analytics cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors use the Website and the merchant dashboard, which pages are visited most, and where errors occur, so that we can improve them. They are set only if you accept them in the cookie banner.

Product analytics

Name: ph_*_posthog (the asterisk is our PostHog project key), ph_*_posthog_ls (local storage)

Provider: PostHog Inc., EU-hosted instance (Frankfurt, Germany), acting as our processor

Purpose: records page views, clicks, and feature usage linked to a random identifier; IP addresses are anonymized

Duration: up to 12 months.

We do not use Google Analytics or any analytics tool that transfers identifiable data outside the European Economic Area.

2.3 Marketing cookies

These cookies would allow us or our partners to measure the effectiveness of our advertising or to show you relevant advertising on other websites. They are set only if you accept them in the cookie banner.

At the date of this notice we do not set any marketing cookies on the Website. If we introduce them, we will list them here and ask for your consent before setting them.

3. Your choices

When you first visit the Website, a banner allows you to accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or choose category by category. Closing the banner without making a choice, or continuing to browse, does not count as consent: only strictly necessary cookies are set until you decide. Both "Accept all" and "Reject all" are shown with equal prominence, as required by the Garante's guidelines.

You can change or withdraw your choices at any time by clicking "Cookie settings" in the footer of the Website. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. If you reject analytics cookies, the Website continues to work normally.

If you reject all non-essential cookies, we will not show the banner again for at least six months, unless the conditions change significantly or you delete the consent cookie.

4. Browser settings

You can also control cookies through your browser. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and warn you before a cookie is set. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Website, including the merchant dashboard, from working.

5. Personal data and your rights

The data collected through cookies is processed by Ustyle SRL as data controller on the legal bases described in our Privacy Policy: legitimate interest for strictly necessary cookies, and consent for all other categories. Providers listed above act as our processors and are included in our Sub-processor List. You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and lodge a complaint with the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, as described in Section 9 of our Privacy Policy.

6. Changes to this notice

We update this notice when we add or remove cookies or when the law changes. The date at the top shows the current version. If a change requires new consent, the banner will be shown again.
